O/T Recipes
Do any of you have great quick recipes? DH REALLY appreciates the home-cooked meal thing and I want to do it, but working full time makes it a little hard.
And figuring something out to cook is just a nightmare. I am open to crock pot dishes that I can prepare the night before too!
I'll share mine first:
fish marinaded in lemon pepper and olive oil for a few min
---put a little olive oil in a skillet cook on med heat for about 3-5 min then flip and cook another 3-5
brown rice
steamed brocoli

Delusional BM moments
Flabby has inspired me. I'm sure we all have supper funny (equally sad) moments where the BM has done something completely delusional. I think this will be therapeutic for me!
Here are ones that come to mind:
Instance #1:
BM: I'm pregnant, will you take me back
DH: Who's baby is it, since it's not mine, shouldn't they be involved?
BM: He doesn't want it, you can take me back and you will have a boy like you always wanted!
DH: I'm not taking you back
BM: I'm telling everyone it's your baby anyway!

question for BMs and SMs
For BMs, do you see the SM to your children as a member of their family? Do you value and respect her opinions specifically when it comes to your child?
For SMs do you think you are a member of your skids' family? Do you feel you have a right to be involved in important decisions that affect your skids' life? Even if that opinion is only shared with DH for him to make the final communication efforts with BM.
Another blog got me thinking about this and I would love to hear how you feel and what you think.

gross gross GROSS!!!
SD10 went to the bathroom. When I went in there after her there was poo smeared on the seat! When I told her to go into the bathroom to clean up her mess, she went in and just put the toilet seat down without cleaning it up!
GROSS! DH had to go in and hover over her while she cleaned it up! DISGUSTING!
There is no way at any age I would have left my poo smears ANYWHERE after the age of 3 she's 10...ugh...

Double standard
Ok...so I read the post about the female coworker sending an email through DH personal email acct. and EVERYBODY said it was clearly a boundary issue and that something like this should not happen. Everybody stood up and got defensive and didn't have any problem telling the OP that she should make her feelings completely known and talk about how the boundary had been broken.

BM wants us to pay extra curricular
I'm not trying to be a jerk. But BM just got awarded $250 more in CS a month and I'm just not as generous as I used to be.
The court order is completely silent on the issue of extra-curricular activities. However, BM in her demanding way is telling DH it's his responsibility to help her out with these costs.
What are our legal obligations and how do you all handle such matters?
He is ordered to pay 58.6% in medical and child care
Thanks in advance for your help.

can there be a nuclear family if dh has kids from a previous relationship?
Ok another blog got me thinking. When I married my DH who has 2 DDs, I gave up the idea of having a nuclear family. I adopted the view that my family is and would always be "blended."
I do not see how I can view the family I create with DH as a "nuclear" unit, I think it breeds competition. I can only see my family as a blended one because it includes 2 SDs from a previous marriage.
What are your thoughts? How do you view this topic and why?
OH...what does this stand for
I keep seeing this everywhere. The only thing that comes to mind is "other husband" and I know that's no it!
please help.
