What the &$!@!? (Gross)
So, today, SS10 went back to BM's house. This evening, DH went into his room to put something away and then yelled. He found -- well -- let's just say that there was "solid" evidence that SS had used the back of his closet as a toilet at some point in the last few days.
There was a problem a couple of years ago where SS was going in the shower or in his pants. Then nothing. Then, a couple of weeks ago, the shower happened again (once -- SS was still here so DH made him clean it). Now this.
I know encompresis can cause accidents. But I find it hard to believe this time was an accident. DH thinks it's him being passive aggressive or showing his displeasure about something. Beats me. I just know there's no way a 10-year-old doing that is ok. SS can seem fine and normal and I can start to think he might be a decent kid and then he does something that makes me wonder -- how screwed up is this kid?

All I can say is that our YSD
All I can say is that our YSD toilet seat p*ss seems to be solved by DH reading her the riot act and following up consistently. She's still doing it because I can hear her cleaning it up with the cleaning supplies on the counter.
And I was freaking out about THAT.
I'd be screaming bloody murder if sh*t like what happened to you was here. That kid would be monitored 24/7. Your DH should be on that as soon as he walks through the door and checks happen before he leaves. Jeeeeezus. I can't even....
Oh, believe me, regular room
Oh, believe me, regular room checks are now on the agenda. I'm just glad DH found it and not me. I mostly stay out of SS's room. He also texted BM, who promptly freaked out.
Wow
I've yet to find anything of that nature in the closet but I can sorta relate. Last visit ss11 came here covered in dog and cat hair. He was wearing sweatpants and it was HOT that day. After he left I went to change the sheets in the other bedroom and there were his animal hair clothes laying on the bed. I immediately showed my husband. He wasn't happy but I doubt he will address the issue. The kid comes here smelly and wearing the same clothes from before. My husband has talked to him saying we've got a baby in the house and you can't endanger his health coming here filthy. In one ear and out the other of course. I'm so beyond fed up.
OH gosh, I remember an old
OH gosh, I remember an old timer poster that used to have this issue with her skid (boy) I can't recall her name, but I wonder what ever happened with her.
I would actually drive myself over to bm's, pick his nasty as* up, march him in by the arm and tell him to CLEAN IT the eff up, after he's done, promptly march him bak home, not a WORD more about it, just silence, consequence and more silence. When he drops him off I would say, this will happen EVERY time you decide to be a nasty pig. Then block the closet use with something (kiddy gates?) and take his door off. Make the consequence SUPER harsh and I bet you anything he stops his sh*t...literally.
What did ss say ?
What did ss say ?
Your dh did talk to him, correct?
My dh would have made contact with his son first, then tell bm. Sounds like you live close, kinda, to bm?
10 is not 4years old.
I am sorry about this, I really am.
SS was already back at BM's
SS was already back at BM's when he found it. But, no, he hasn't talked to him yet. He's going to when SS is back on Sunday. Generally they don't "intrude" on each other's time (avoids boundary crossing that way).
Going forward, DH now plans to do random room searches, including a full look before SS leaves.
EWWW!!
O.M.G. I would've died. Maybe wipe his face in it - he wants to behave like an animal, I'd treat him like one..bloody little punk needs to be house-trained.
