SHINER, Texas (AP) — Hearing his 5-year-old daughter crying from behind a barn, a father ran and discovered the unthinkable: A man molesting her. The father pulled the man off his daughter, authorities say, and started pummeling him to death with his fists.

No contact with the SKid in more than 4 weeks.

I am beyond pissed off. DW is in periodic weepy mode. The kid has not answered his phone, responded to an e-mail, called us, written us or texted us in more than 4wks.

I have to say I smelled it coming. He started gaming again about two months ago. For my son (SS-19) that is the kiss of death for any success he is having.

Here is the letter/e-mail I just sent him.

Header: So, how much trouble are you in at work?

Son,

Random musings: I have been every age that my Skid has been trust me I am far better at being ..6yo, 10yo, 13yo, 18yo ..

Than any kid is.

We are parents whether the blended family oppostion, the Skids or even our own SOs want to believe it or not.

As for the Skids ... we are better at being the age that they are, regardless of what age they are, because we have been there and done that. With the limited exception of Sparents who have Skids who are older than the Sparent ... but that is another story.

..10 Ways NOT to Raise Your Toddler

YOU ARE KILLING ME WITH CLEAN, LADY.
I am a parenting editor and a mom. This means that all day, every day, I read about how to raise better children, and then go home and mess with my own. You know, it's all fun and games until the therapy bill arrives! In full acknowledgment of how little my advice will help any parent out there, I've decided to stick to letting the wonderful experts on this site tell you what to do, and give you this handy picture guide on what to DON'T:

Proud of my son (Skid) but my heart breaks for him too.

Recently my son (SS-19) called my parents to tell them that he would like to spend his ThanksGiving (7 days) and Christmas leave (10 days) with them at their house. They were thrilled and they told him he is always welcome. Dad asked him if he was going to Oregon (SpermLand) for part of either holiday. He said "No Deepa, I am not ready to go back there yet. I want to relax with family." I was proud of my son for making his decision based on what he wanted and not in response to a toxic guilt trip, and I hurt for him at the same time.
