My Daughter Tries to Explain to Chef How to Load a Dishwasher!!
My grown daughter (she's 33) saw me unloading the dishwasher yesterday that Chef had loaded. And in this case it wasn't one of the worst dishwasher loading jobs that Chef has done (I have photos!)
She looked at it horrified and said to me: "Can't you teach him how to load a dishwasher?" I said "It's pointless; you can't teach Chef anything."
So she walked over to Chef and said "Chef, when you load a dishwasher, the dishes have to be facing the sprayer!"
Thanksgiving MIRACLE!!
Chef did NOT shoot his mouth off ONCE!!! I did involve him more in the prep this year so less time to get sauced!!!
He didn't buy any bourbon for himself yet. Which is like firewater to him. Instant Asshole in a Glass.
I did buy CHEAP bourbon to cook with and he tasted it but that was that.
Seems his tastes are changing. No more low end beer that taste like water. He is drinking better beer and less of it. He's still a drunk and loves to call OTHERS alcoholics (project much?)

Stupidity, Passive-Aggressiveness or Just Plain Carelessness?
Chef, who used to be an EXCELLENT handyman and could bang out a great job in NO time, has now become slower, and SLOWER and S-L-O-W-E-R. Not only that but QUALITY is definitely on the wane. Projects will be procrastinated for months and months (yep still the TWO tires wait to be put on the snowblower)
It is taking him FOR-EVER to simply put a toilet and utility sink back in, put down the peel and stick faux slate floor and put up some cedar paneling on approximately a 6" x 6" floor (the laundry room).
Special Ed Epic Fail Report for SD16
Backstory: I happen to firmly believe that NONE of Chef's kids are "learning disabled." It's a smoke screen for lazy-assed parenting, IMHO. Even the "special ed" reports make statements such as:
"SD16 will do well if it's something she's INTERESTED in."
DUUUUUUHHHH!!!!!!
You can say that about EVERYONE!! There's a little matter of DISCIPLINE and that LIFE IS NOT ALL FUN AND JOLLIES that has been forgotten over the last almost 40 years or so.
You may not CARE for doing something BUT YOU DO IT ANYWAY!!!

Happy Thanksgiving and Meeeerrrrrrry Christmas, BM!!
Court date set for 12/15 to get daycare dropped that she hasn't used in well over five years. Of COURSE it won't be retroactive and therefore I predict the BM will delay the court date.
Oh and the fact that OSS moved out in August. . . He's 18, but here in stupid pro-GUBM world, CS goes mandatory till age 21. So therefore, OSS can work a few hours a week between pot smoking sessions making smoothies on a food truck and live at his Uncle's house, yet BM will still get paid CS for him.
Eighteen Illegal Absences/Lates Since the Second Week of September
Yep, since SD started 10th grade, she has chalked up 18 illegal absences. The school sent a letter on it.
Not surprising since OSS would routinely cut class yet he barely graduated because the school district factors in high grades in froo froo subjects that are given the same weight as the serious subjects.
Only OSS started cutting class in 11th grade in this sort of manner.
O/T Procrastination VENT
So earlier this year Chef decided not to use the ancient plow truck anymore due to the fact that it's getting to be "too much work" so he's "given" it to the neighbour who is also a procrastination nightmare.
Instead I bought a snowblower which needs tires.
I ordered the damn custom expensive tires in JUNE!
Do you think they are on yet? And we are starting to get lake effect snow here.

Does Your BM "Parent" Via Facebook?
Backstory: Neither BM nor Chef EVER parented when their offspring were small. They gave up on SD and YSS pretty much the moment they popped out of the BM's vajay jay.
So now, of course, when kids are teens and "testing the waters" is the time to attempt to parent them as is the typical road of the PASinator BM and Guilty Daddy. :barf:
I noticed the BM posts "stern" warnings on FB wedged firmly between the other 99.9% of BFFing.

You Might Be A Stepmom with a PASinator BM and Hateful Skids IF. . .
Your FB account has a longer BLOCK list than a FRIENDS list.
