So last time I wrote, I mentioned that DH seemed to be backtracking and was asking to have to his kids over to sleep over. Mind you ss24 has a gf, a 1 year old and one on the way. His gf has an apartment via way of her dad, and they live about an hour drive away.
Well…I probably shouldn’t have done this but I snooped and saw that SS asked DH to move back in. More specifically he stated “me and gf were talking and want to move back in the house to create that close family dynamic”.
Just curious if you have a favorite flying experiences?
I will say I have a habit of looking in awe at the cockpit while they have the door open.
Because some of these pilots looking like snacks!
Wish I knew what all those knobs meant and how to fly a plane but it seems like it would be extremely complicated and my brain would not compute lol (although I'm an excellent pilot of a road vehicle like a car or van)
BM's notarized and signed travel consent letter arrived in the mail today. DH and I held our breaths as we opened it... It is literally the exact same letter DH sent BM, aside from her rewording a few phrases like "consent" instead of "authorize" and spelling out SS's birthdate instead of xx/xx/xxxx format we put. She also shifted the signature spot from the right side of the paper to the left.
Confess ANYTHING (within the sites TOS lol)
*No judgment zone*
- confession #1 - I should be doing something worthwhile today but I've been on StepTalk the.entire.day ffs
I actually would not object to mods blocking me rn lol to close to addiction loop of constant log on and posting
What are some of your reasons for and/or against having these kids work jobs?
*no judgement zone just curious on the viewpoints of other parents*
In my experience
the pros
- build work ethic
- socialize and interact with others (even network into better opportunities)
- extra income they can use to spend, save, invest, give (can show them how to be wise with money)
- learn time and money management
- Ease off the payroll quicker and faster
the cons
I recently saw a meme that said "no one falls in love faster than a man who needs a place to stay" (though.. I think women can be guilty of that too..)
and, it really hit me that many times.. there are ulterior motives that people have when getting into a relationship.
My husband and I have been married for 37 years. I have a son from my previous marriage, he as 2 daughters and 1 son from his previous marriage. My husband told me straight up that he has children he is financially responsible for and that he will most likely never be able to support me (and my son) financially. I told him I am not interested in financial support and that I would take care of myself and my son.
We also decided to not have any children together and I had my tubes tied at the age of 28.
After reading the blog entry "Skids have no compassion," I was thinking about step parent power plays that turn the tables . . . if even just for a moment. If you've had one, please share! If you fantasize about one, do tell!
DW was having a conversation with a high school buddy (Who is bi) and asked if putting your spouse first is also important in a family where both parents are of the same sex and her answer was "DUHH". She went onto say "Just because you guys are of the same sex doesn't change the golden rule about marriage with kids. Whether they're biological or adopted.

Demon (SD15) has been begging to do online schooling for months. Her big thing is, we are on vacation for 2wks, and she "doesn't understand why she can't just try it for that time while she's at her moms". Because she isn't made for online schooling!! She can't even turn assignments in at regular school! All she wants to do is sleep. And she's NOT going to be home with me while I WFH. Crazy has said she can go there during the day but that is a terrible idea- and we don't trust her. She will make excuses about why she can't go there in no time.
