...and it irritates me that dh thinks ss14's disrespect is all due to testosterone

Um. No. You've raised the damned kid on your own. You can't blame his absent mother and you can't. Lame he hormones cursing through his body.

At lunch on our way home from our trip with my three bios, ss threw a fit. I said to knock it off and that he was to listen to his father - dad was his boss. Period. The end.

I heard dh reprimanding him again in a store later and then dh just blamed it on she's hormones.

Um no dh. Ss has acted this way since I've met him at age 11. He thinks he is your equal and he had a vote / say/ in any matter.

Sure, my dd13 was not perfect on our trip but when I reprimanded her, and gave her a consequence, it tookrss than an hour for her to apologize and fix herself. She's fucking hormonal too but you will never hear me use that as an excuse.

... Oh and did I mention that ss14 had a stomach ache and head ache when it was time to clean up find leave from our cabin. He even Needed a bag in case he barfed in the car but as soon as we stopped for lunch, he was fine and wanted a hamburger. No. Have some chicken noodle soup you lazy ass, ungreatful kid.

Oh yes, the classic head and stomach ache. SD12 pulled this crap for the longest time. Still does from time to time. Usually when she feels she isn't the center of the universe she will make a huge deal out of her stomach or head hurting.

I understand hormones causing moodiness, but it's not okay to allow disrespect.

Ya. Funny how the stomach ache lasted from clean up time in the morning right up until we sat down at a restaurant at lunch time.

He even asked for a bag in the car which he proceeded to spit in - as if he was throwing up. Unfortunately the performance was wasted since dh can't hear and I just ignored him. During stop one, I gave him a Tylenol and a seven up and encouraged him to rest in the car while we shopped at the candy store, toy shop, etc in an old time town we stopped in.

lol I have given SD12 advil before, I know it's not needed, but it lets me know that just in case there is a problem with her head, I tried to help. It's ridiculous. Never once has SD gotten a headache or stomachache while doing something that she enjoys. DH has even had me pick her up early from school because of these headaches (seen a doc btw) I highly doubt she will ever try to leave school again with me on watch. She was either to be in her bed or on the couch with no electronics. Soup and rest while eveyone else enjoyed their day Smile

Yes. I think as was so shocked that he was not allowed to order his usual fish and chips platter or bacon double off te menu this time that he "may" think twice about playing sick.

Whatever. Play sick. Keeps him in the car during an outing and I don't have to pay $15 for his order.
