And ... He went to her
DH had to go up to the town we used to live in for a court case (nothing he did wrong). SD22 lives 45 minutes north of that large town, which is a 4-hour drive from us. Last time we were in said large town, SD refused to drive the 45 minutes to see DH, and for once he put his foot down and didn't chase after her.
That didn't last long. DH drove the 4 hours PLUS the extra 45 minutes to see SD22 this past weekend. I knew he would. Again, she couldn't be bothered to drive the 45 minutes, and he was in a vehicle he should not have even taken the four hours, let alone the extra way up and back. But whatever.

I guess he figured he is only
I guess he figured he is only 45 minutes away from his daughter instead of 4 hours and 45 minutes away so he might as well see her while he can.
It's his daughter... it is what it is.
I know, I just find it ironic
I know, I just find it ironic that the last time he put his foot down but he couldn't keep it down. Story of my life regarding his parenting.
meh if the car breaks down
meh if the car breaks down let him figure out how to fix it
At least he didn't expect you to go with him.
Even if your kids refused to
Even if your kids refused to meet you PART way? SD22 drives to the town DH was in regularly to go to bars, out with her friends, etc.
Not surprising seeing SD has
Not surprising seeing SD has been a mini wife since day one. If he breaks down oh well.
Nice to see his offspring is respecting him after all those years of ass kissing he did.
Oh wait.
Not if it was in MY car with
Not if it was in MY car with MY gas.
Then the problem should be
Then the problem should be with her DH not her SD. Yet it seems like its always the SD's fault. Its her DH's behavior really.
I didn't complain. I simply
I didn't complain. I simply stated that I wasn't surprised SD wouldn't come see him and so he went to her.
I stressed about it only
I stressed about it only insomuch as his truck is all but dead (clutch doesn't work), and if he'd been stranded along the road he would have expected me to come get him. He ran out of time to rent a car and so drove said truck and took it an extra almost 2 hours out of the way. Imagine if he'd called me from SD22's town and asked me to come get him?! I think I would have told him to start walking back to the town he had the court case in.
