they don't always have to file, I'm in WA State too, and we were never given a report b/c the gal just gave a verbal report, never officially filed. It was a complaint that attorney kept bringing up, but unless there is real cause for concern, like severe abuse, you may never get one.
Our gal was and probably the best in the area, and verbally told my dh that bm was just after the cs, but dh could not get custody from a judge. And he never officially filed the report.
In WA state,
I'm in Washington State and here, you don't get the report until the very day of court.
In other words, when you show up to court you are given a copy of the report.
