As ready as I'll ever be

Got the rest of the pictures uploaded and picked them up at Walgreens. Another 200+ just in case. Got them all in a manageable order for the atty to be able to sort through, too. Went and bought a new outfit even though I already had one picked out. I needed some retail therapy.

My grandmother went with me and made me feel so much better when she walked out of the purse department of one of the stores and handed me a bag. It was the new Coach tote for summer. Plaid. Adorable. She knew I had been eying it and handed me the bag and said "Here, now make sure you nail her to the wall tomorrow". My grandmother is awesome. She and my grandpa and going to come tomorrow just for moral support. I don't know what I'd do without them sometimes. Their support means everything, and it only makes me more sad for the skids that they may never know that kind of support from their mother. My grandparents I equate with my mother because while my mother is here in spirit, she lives 500 miles away. She would've come if I asked her to but it wasn't THAT serious.

We meet with our atty tomorrow morning at 8am. Court is at 9. We are the first on the docket. I'm terrified. From what I have heard from out attorney, the kids attorney, everyone I share our story with, we have an extremely strong case. But, I never get too cocky because that's setting yourself up for disappointment. Judge could be in a bad mood. Judge could believe everything she says. Hell, I could have a heart attack before testifying and not even be alive/around to know what happens. You just never can be 100% sure.

We have to get these kids. We have to. The devastation that they will incur during their life will be insurmountable if we don't. We can't lose. That's all there is to it. They need us to win. So we have to.

Thanks. It's hard not to get wound up over things that you feel like you have no control over. I hate it. Haha.

Hell, that coach purse is NOT superficial!! I will hopefully be filling it full of the money we're not going to be paying BM in child support. Ever. Smile

I will definitely blog tomorrow afternoon before I head off to work for the evening. This site has been such a life/mind saver for me. Idk what I would do if I didn't have this place to vent to and to people that understand and are compassionate (most of the time) Smile

Pictures of text messages. We have to have his physical phone with the texts on them, had to buy some ridiculous program to convert the text messages to a transcript, as well as have the pictures of the texts on his phone in order to submit them for evidence.

She does have them EOW and one weeknight. She filed to have it adjusted so that it's the opposite (for child support purposes Lol except that she wants us to have them every weekend and her every weekday.

We then counter filed when SS started doing poorly in school on the night/morning that she had him during the week (we started this plan when he started first grade. She filed about 1/4 way through that year and were JUST now getting to see a judge), for her to have them only every other weekend but then in the summer it will alternate week on week off. We don't want to take her kids from her (yes I do. she's sick in the head. But in order to seem like the more "agreeable" party to the court we conceded to our lawyer to this plan. And honestly, idc what they do during summer vacation. But during the school year, there is no reason for her ever to keep them overnight. Period.)

We have the teachers testifying, as well as some daycare workers testifying. All are considered the GAL's witnesses. She has no one. No one but her lying, pathetic self. And the judge knows shes a liar. And be sure of it our atty is going to remind him of it first thing. This is the same judge that put her on probation for perjury and for filing a false report. She also lied straight to his face last time she was in front of him in order to get her continuance granted. Tisk tisk BM. We keep everything.

I will ask our atty in the morning and post it tomorrow afternoon. I don't remember the name off the top of my head. It was a program we had to dl to our desktop then sync DHs phone to the desktop and it somehow through the magic of technology transformed his texts into a readable transcript. It was really like reading through the diary of a crazy person since BM is the one doing most of the texting. Most of DHs text consist of: a simple yes or no would suffice. Thank you.

IF you have a smart phone you could have just downloaded the text to gmail app, it sends ALL texts mms or sms to your gmail account into its own little folder Smile

We do. But in order for them to have been admissible we HAD to use this specific program according to some guideline of the court or whatever. I asked DH and he said the name of the program was called Daniusoft and he isn't sure if this particular program is for all phones bc the one he got was specifically for blackberrys.
