It's 12:15 AM, Do You Know Where Your Step Kid Is?
Mine was supposed to have a 10PM bedtime. Still awake. Finally in bed since 11:35 with the lights out, but still awake. Guess who isn't getting any nookie tonight, darling.
FML
PS. I was told tonight at 10:30 that BM changed her bedtime to 11 during the week. Um, what? And why? And WTH does that have to do with our home and our rules?
PPS. I have 2 full, handwritten pages tonight of stuff I want to discuss with the new couples counselor. 25% of it is dedicated to my thoughts on "Why Bedtime for SD11 is Important". Seriously.

Continuation of the same
Continuation of the same shit. He knows this is a MAJOR issue for me. And he goes on. I am about to tell him in the morning that he's about to spend his weekend away (starting tomorrow night) without me. Livid.
Nookie plans were ruined when
Nookie plans were ruined when I was turned off by his lack of respect for me and my needs. this bedtime thing for this kid has been an ongoing battle and I just told him we have to go to counseling and used this as a major reason why. I could've shut the door and nookied him to the wall. We actually have a TWO room barrier. But not psychologically.
BTW- I think you are my new best virtual friend.
SD14 (almost 15) is now
SD14 (almost 15) is now singing in the shower, at 1:20 AM. Singing her heart out. And guess what, I am not pissed at all. She is in the same boat with me. She hates this shit with her sister and her parent's lack of parenting. We don't get to do anything without the one kid ruining it. We don't discuss it-- just known. She's singing a beautiful song in ther and I am writing here. She deserves more. She deserves people to recognize her talent instead of focusing on her jerk ass sister. She also deserves to have parents tell her to be in bed by midnight. I'm glad I got to overhear this.
Maybe I have read this wrong
Maybe I have read this wrong but it seems you are saying that an 11 year old is allowed up until all hours of the night? On a weekday? I am sure I used to send my bios to bed about 9pm when they were 11.
If this is not a typo and SD is in fact only 11 then both your DH and his exW are seriously loose in the rafters.
