Something that has been an issue between my DH and I is the fact that SS13 wakes up at 5:45AM to shower and then goes back to bed until 7:45AM and then catches his bus at 8:10. Well, our bedroom is RIGHT beside their bathroom so EVERY SINGLE MORNING I am woken up at 5:45 to the kid taking a shower. I asked DH why the hell he get up to shower, just to go back to bed until 7:45. It wakes me up 45 mins before my alarm goes off and I can never get back to sleep. DH said "well if it works for him, then why change things?!?!". Ok, fine! So, today, the same thing. 5:45 SS13 goes and has a shower. BUT, this time, instead of trying to go back to sleep, I get up. I made as much noise as possible while making it look like I was trying to be quiet while DH tried to sleep }:) I went in and out of the bedroom "quietly" about 20 times. Haha! DH wakes up at 7:30 only to find SS15 still in bed... his bus comes at 7:20. Not my kid, not my problem. DH is all bitchy cause he has to... wait, chooses to, make his kids lunches and now has to drive SS15, yet again, to school cause he can't catch his bus for the life of him. DH starts bitching up a storm about not being able to sleep and how it's stupid that they wake up so early to shower, just to go back to bed and miss their bus!! hahahahahahaha!!!!!! Oh, I love it when I win! We'll see what tomorrow morning brings, but I think I may have "won" this battle Blum 3

My tongue is still sore Wink It was SO worth it. I was about to say that, but then his frustration would have just been directed at me.

You got me cracking up over here! You will have to update us if your DH makes any changes to SS 5:54 shower.

I was raised by a mom who was single and working hard, when she went to bed, my sister and I went to bed. We were ok with it. We were told we were in bed and lights out meant we did not get up to shower, eat, even use the the toliet as it would disturb her. Once we did not wet the bed, we could hold it all night, we were scolded to go before bed and that was the end...until morning. Nowdays that is probably being mean to tell kids they must stay in bed but it worked for us for many years. My sister and I stayed in bed all night, no yelling for drinks or fussing around.

Well, a quick update... SS13 now wakes up at 6:30 to shower! I can actually sleep in until my alarm goes off!!! It's great! SS15 still can't make it to the bus on time for the life of him, but if DH wants to keep driving him or if SS15 likes walking over 3 kilometers in winter (now it's technically spring, but still is cold out)then kudos to the both of them! I don't care! lol! Thanks for the input Smile Happy Easter (it would be happier without the skids, but that's a blog for another day)!
