I haven’t posted in ages…it’s just been the usual vicious cycle of step-parenthood but I thought I’d share with you the newest stupidity from Nasty…

As some of you may recall, Nasty is one of those mothers that thinks she did her job by blessing the world with her spawn, therefore, she should not have to have much to do with her children (hasn’t skyped or spoken with them in nearly TWO months!!), should not have to pay CS & should not have to provide health insurance. She believes that she should have NO responsibility for her not one but TWO “accidental” pregnancies & the resulting Skids (who are now 8 & 10)…the courts disagree & she’s paying both.

Nasty called SO one day, out of the blue to “get something off of her chest”…she told SO that she is seeing a Christian Counselor…(YAY Nasty!?!?!) who has opened her eyes to what her REAL issue is. According to her Christian Counselor, Nasty is SUFFERING from P.A.S. Now, when I heard this, I laughed out loud thinking she was referring to Parental Alienation Syndrome. Turns out, that no, it’s not the PAS that we are all familiar with but rather a new Syndrome which has been created for women who use pregnancy termination as birth control. Apparently, Nasty is suffering from Post Abortion Syndrome…

Prior to SO meeting Nasty, her history is that she had XSD16 at 18 years old. Between the ages of 18 & 23, she had FOUR abortions. Yes folks, FOUR! These FOUR terminations are the reason that she cannot “connect” with SS10 & SD8. These terminations are why she is unable to remain faithful in a relationship. These terminations are the reason that she is who she is…apparently. She is now 34 years old. So 11 years later, she has figured out that these terminations have seriously affected her.

She told SO that she NEVER wanted SS10 or SD8 & that she HATED him for “making them happen” to which SO replied “Well, you DID have a part in that too Nasty…it’s NOT all on me! Besides, are you seriously saying that you wished that YOUR OWN CHILDREN were never born??? ” She said that she is working on her “issues” & that she hopes that she can one day, be the best mother that she can be – but until then, she is “SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO thankful that Anywho is there, doing my job for me!” :sick:

Since this conversation, she texted the Skids asking them to Skype & they of course excitedly waited by the computer at the given time/date only to hear NOTHING from her for the THIRD time in two months. SO has made comments about how happy he is to see her changing with the Skids (said with heavy sarcasm, of course).

So...my impression is that she is considering her own suffering while ignoring the emotional havoc she is wreaking on her own spawn. Gotta love how self-important she truly believes herself to be.

***I have to say that I am not taking lightly the potential diagnosis of TRUE PAS that some women may suffer after a termination - if any of you readers have suffered from this syndrome, you have my sympathy. Nasty however, does not & never will. I have no compassion for a woman who CHOOSES to use terminations in the manner that she did nor for a woman who treats her own children with the level of disinterest/disdain because of her own "issues" and selfishness.***
