DownsouthinTx.. you were right, and I just reported BM for fraud

BSgoinon's picture

So, DownSouth's comment on a response I posted earlier, questioned if BM could legally receive cash aid if she doesn't have custody of a child. She had assured me that she didn't claim SS. I stupidly didn't look any further in to it.

Well, I looked it up. This is clearly one of the requirments: "Be taking care of at least one child who is under the age of 18 (or 19, if expected to graduate from high school before his or her 19th birthday)"

So, I reported her for fraud. I hope they call me. I will throw her under ALLLL of the buses.

I'm not one for reporting... but in this case it's definitely warranted and she deserves it.

You probably remember that Medusa did this...and that I reported her...and that she lost ALL state and federal aid...and had to pay back the cash and the value of the Medicaid she had the skids on WHILE I WAS INSURING THEM!!!

Good for you, BS. I HATE fraudsters.

Gov't workers don't get administrative fees for kicking people off programs no matter HOW fraudulent. The fraud departments in most of these agencies are nothing but a dog and pony show.

I was literally told that when I was working for subsidized housing and found that a well paid cop was actually trying to pass of his baby mama as his tenant. Who was on every program in the book, WIC, EBT, HEAP, TANF, you name it. Seems well paid cop bought a house and acted as Section 8 landlord while he supposedly "lived with HIS mother." I caught this and I was literally told to ignore it because they needed to keep the numbers up.

With all the people who are actually deserving in this wretched economy, you'd think it would make more sense to kick the leeches off and give the help to someone truly in need. But NOPE!

I'll be damned if I will allow DH to be held responsible for cash aid collected on SS's behalf when we are supporting him 100%.

I am not familiar with that program, but I would say it's worth doing a little research. The only reason I reported BM in our situation is because the state will hold DH responsible if they find out he exists. BM will have had to state that he doesn't exist to be able to claim SS. I know for a fact she did it in the past for food stamps. I won't be held responsible for her fraud.
