Parent Teacher Conferences

DH and I have not spoken since Monday when we had parent/teacher conferences for his two girls.

We learned that the 7 yr old is socially retarded. That she is "mean", "bossy" and that the "other children resent her for her behavior".

We learned that the 11 year old has decided that she no longer needs the $300.00 pair of glasses that she INSISTED she have last year because she just couldnt read without them!

DH says NOTHING, to EITHER child about their behavior. They both get off without so much as a word said to them but he INSISTS that I ground my bio-daughter to the fullest extent for anything she does or he accuses me of "not working with him". I am really at a loss anymore as to what to say to him to make him see how I see things.

The teacher said that she has no social skills and doesnt relate to other children. That she is selfish, mean and bossy and the other kids resent her for her behavior.

I have tried to adopt the deal with your kids, Ill deal with mine philosophy but it makes him furious that I wont chase after his kids and that he cant tell me what to do with mine. We have gotten to the point where we do the "your kid did that, my kid did this" kind of attitude because there is no fairness. Every thing he does is because of guilt or being afraid that BM will find out or that he wont be the "better parent".
