First ever, perfect, peaceful Father's day!
BS7 and I got up and made DH breakfast and gave him his Father's Day card with some lottery tickets. DH actually won $10.00 on a dollar scratch off, so he was excited. BS7 first grade class also had a Father's Day "coffee break" that DH went to on Friday. DH said it was very nice and he came home with some cute stuff that BS7 made.
After breakfast, DH asked if we wanted to go to an estate sale up the road, so we did and found some pretty cool stuff. Then DH asked if we wanted to go to a Racino about an hour away from us and check out their flea market/antique shop. BS7 wanted to go swimming, and it was almost 100 degrees yesterday, so we decided to do flea market this Friday instead.
I have no clue if DH heard from SS18 and I saw that SD19 stole a pic from my facebook and made a post on Instagram about her dad (even though DH is not on insta and will never see it) and hashtagged it #bestbuds LMAO.. AS IF!? DH told me later in the day that SD19 said she would take him out to dinner, but he told her he had no interest in that. Nobody came to the house and nobody called demanding to be picked up, so it was an awesome day!
I called my Dad while we were at the pool and told him Happy FD and we had a nice chat. He was on his way somewhere with his wife and her son... .and *gasp* I didn't even have to make passive aggressive posts on FB or Twitter about how my dad is spending time with his "other family" and not me on Father's Day! Oopsie, I guess that's because Father's Day isn't about ME and because I'm not some entitled snot who thinks that because I came "first" that I'm more important.
I am hoping that this means gone are the days of dreading Father's Day and having skids and/or BMs ruin it some how.

I really didn't think that it
I really didn't think that it would ever come and I'll be honest I had that sinking feeling in the pit of my stomach Saturday night thinking SD might show up and want to spend the night and most of the day Sunday, I just felt like I was waiting for the drama to hit... it was such a relief to just have peace and a nice day. DH seemed happy and in good spirits, not annoyed and irritated like he usually is no Father's Day. It really was nice.
Happy for you, Daizy!
