Countdown Continues :)

Since I haven't been paying attention, the days are flying by! It's only 130 more days until the last skid turns 18.

Recent victories include:

1. getting along with dh for an entire week without mentioning skids/bm
2. not letting sd dump her dog on me, drop into my life and screw up my day
3. surviving the financial crunch....of not having enough money to pay off all the bills

I'm not even mad at BM today because I haven't had to talk about or think about her or the stupid skids in like weeks. (except sd, but i cut those apron strings).

Hang in there steppers, we're all in this together, alone....LOL

A little over 5 months for the oldest for us. Since she has a baby and dropped out of HS, I highly doubt that she is going to college.

SS16, on the other hand, probably WILL go to college...but I won't be around that long either.

congrats ddakan! My SS turned 18 last summer and it felt sooo good to finally be done with CS as well as dealing with psycho BM. I hope the next 130 days go by quickly for you. Smile

So once they are 18 do you get rid of them for good?! I WISH that was my situation!! SD's are 20 and 23 and still won't get off the teet. I think there should be a law stating that sk's should not ever bother asking for money and will be sentenced to live on the street until they get a job and can support themselves!

i do dream we would be finished with them for good, at least dh realized we would be done with bm at that time. he'll probably still give in and give sss money for whatever crap they want, but he'll feel guilty about it.

sd21 still constantly bleeds for money, but i won't give it to her. she is learning to depend on herself and her boyfriend and all other means of payday loans she can find.
