ast night my husband came home from work and asked where SD16 was. I was cooking dinner which we have at the same time everynight.Of course she was in her room all afternoon, door closed, sitting under the covers chatting on line with her boyfriend. After dinner my husband took her to the grocery store because she had complained that the reason she wanted to leave the island we live on and drive around was to find something to eat. SHe told him she doesn't like our food. I didn't fall for it but my husband did- hook, line and sinker. He came back from the store with some items I needed and two bags of chips and some chicken nuggets.He said SD16 couldn't seem, to name anything she wanted to eat so he realized she was making up a reason to drive off the island probably to find her way to the highway and run back to her boyfriend.

Later he went upstairs and confronted her about not turning in assignments, not speaking to us, filthy room and her general attitude. Her response was that she hates living with us, misses her mom and step dad who she hated a week ago.SHe also plans on quitting school in order to go to alternative ed and be near her BF20 who also is a dropout.DH tried for about 30 minutes to talk some sense into her without success.The child apparently has an answer for everything.SD16 is trying to talk BM into taking her back which will probably happen. DH came downstairs and told me and though he seemed a bit sad he really feels there is not alot he can do to help her.He told me to lay low while he is gone and if she takes off to try to reach him then he will report her missing.
