I'm ready to pull all my hair out! My Skids have been bugging DH and I to get them a hamster. We argreed they could have one IF they behaved and did well in school for one month. Well the skids have chores in the house. They have to clean the kitchen together, put away their clothes that I wash, and care for their dogs. Neither one can do these things if I don't stay on them constantly. Yet they keep wanting more responciblities because they think they are all grown up.

I've told them that until they can handle their current responsiblities then they aren't going to get anymore! Well I consider a hamster a responsiblity! They have to care for them, clean up after them! So I told them that until they can learn to do their chores without having to be told 12 times then there would be no hamster! I'll be danged I'm already having to take care of their dogs half the time or stay on their case about it, I'm not taking care of rodents too!

In step DH!!!!!! The oldest turns on the water works and although he HEARD ME say no hamster he tells them "I keep my word you will have your hamster" DAMN HIM!!!!!!!!!!!! I was on his case like white on rice! Why did I quit MY CAREER to care for HIS KIDS if everything I tell them to do is going to be underminded by him? I'm still pissed about it! I told him that he might as well just leave them by themselves all week b/c there is no way they are going to listen to me when they know daddy will let them have their way and undermind my punishments.

I MADE him come up with a alternative punishment and told him it better be good or he better plan to quit his job and care for his own damn kids!!!!!! When I was a kid you didn't get reminded to do your chores, you either did them or got your azz beat! From now on if they have to be told more than once to do their chores then no electronics for one week (tv, game system, DS, computer, phone).
These kids have learned that they can get away with murder b/c they are "adjusting" to living with us. I'm sorry adjustment time is over. We all have chores and it's time to do them. These girls have every excuse in the book not to clean the kitchen but I'm sorry I'm not a pushover like their dad.

I have to stay on their case b/c before they moved in we didn't have roaches at all. The roaches came when they came, probably in their boxes, since I know their BM's house had them. These girls are bad about leaving food out. Now we even have a mouse! Yuck! I won't live in a house with mice and roaches!!!!!!!! My husband better find that mouse b/c if he doesn't VERY soon I'm going to go live with mom until he does! Once I burned all the boxes that the girls brought their stuff in it got rid of most of the roaches. Now I just spray and make sure no food is left out at all.

Oh and as if he (DH) didn't piss me off enough he got pissed at me b/c I wouldn't have sex with him after he treated me like crap! I'm sorry but why do some men think that they can treat you that way then expect you to fall all over them. I told him to get in my pants he better be good to me all day!
