The doctor called me with the results of my scrape test. It's not as bad as what it could be. It's a staph infection. He called it a furuncle(sp?). I guess it is where an infected hair follicle affects the skin surrounding it and it is a form of staph infection. He put me on some antibiotics and advised to keep it clean and covered with some triple antibiotic ointment. He warned me to keep an eye out for a fever because if that happens I have to go to the ER and be tested for sepsis(sp?) and several other things and they may have to drain out whatever is still left inside that is causing the infection to continue or worsen. At least its not Paget's or some flesheating mite! So hopefully it will go away! Thanks for all your advice and support!
