Came home from my mini-vacation so I could spend time with Loghead, my DH. Worked hard to get rid of the skids for the weekend, but two of them changed plans behind my back because of their "work schedules." BS- they're both sitting around playing on their computers and video games.

DH didn't have his temp job today, but volunteered to go help his sister with a job she needs done that will take the better part of the next three days. He's so exhausted from the heat and helping her, he couldn't even bring himself to the table. Which was dinner I threw together at the last minute, since he had forgotten he promised to bring home dinner....

Annoyed with Princess 18. Moving into the dorm in August can't come fast enough for me! She went this week to meet her new roommate for the first time. Found out due to Facebook this morning, that she took her boyfriend with her! Also Stepping Stone, her boyfriend, got accepted at the last minute to the same school and he wants her to go tomorrow for his orientation. She went two weeks ago without him, because we told her it was important for her to do that on her own. Loghead and I ARE NOT HAPPY the boy is going to the same school. He's already pissed she got in a co-ed dorm, and I think my husband will go through the roof if the boy gets in the same dorm she's in, which is a possibility since it is the biggest on campus.

So basically, it's just me and Gibby home alone for the next three days while everyone else does their own thing. Crap- I could have stayed at my parents and it been just the two of us! At least there we can go down to the lake and swim! Here, we live 15 miles from the nearest town, and in the summer heat, we can't be outside much due to the smell of the cow pastures on either side of the house...

I am annoyed and generally feeling cranky. Thank goodness I have a secret stash of ice cream in the back of the freezer. I think I'm gonna need it!
