Just found out this week Lazy Boye 16 has managed to get 8 cavitites in 11 months. The new dentist- the only one in the area on our insurance plan- is going to cost nearly $900 to get cavitities filled. WTF

First- 8 cavitities, seriously? Like does he just let the soda sit in his mouth while he sleeps at night?! Second- what kind aof gold plated fillings are those!?

So anyway, Loghead and I figure out a payment plan, INCLUDING Lazy Boye paying half, since he admits to not brushing. All worked out, 2 cavities filled immediately , and the rest over the next few months- done by Christmas.

Loca Grande pitched a big fit. She thought it was horrible we were going to make him pay. She decided to find another dentist in her area to take him, and it was only going to cost about $400, and she would pay it all. She said it didn't seem fair to punish him; that it was OUR FAULT FOR NOT MAKING HIM BRUSH HIS TEETH.

Hello?! He's going to be 17 in a week. And I'm supposed to supervise his teeth brushing? I don't think so... I told her this was a true instance of a life lesson; that sometimes when you mess up, you have to pay up BIG. Maybe his summer job money should go to something other than the sodas and candies he gets at the gas station after he gets off work...

Then, she had the nerve to ask for gas money to come get him if she paid for all the dental work. Whatever. She's on disability. Her husband works two jobs just to afford her crazy meds. They were all lined out to get his braces on next week, but that's put off now till the cavitities are fixed. I honestly won't pay a single dime for this. We've already paid the other two skids' braces since she backed out. We made her get her own ortho fare away from here just so we don't get stuck with a bill! No way am I paying a penny to go into his mouth. I went so far as to tell Loghead I'd divorce him if HE gave a penny for his teeth! But I can give Lazy Boye $10 for the day they go and if he gives it to her for gas, that's his choice. And that's $10 that will be birthday money, that he can spend however he wants. And he's a sucker for her, and he'll buy her gas,
