OT - 3 Wives in <5 Years

lieutenant_dad's picture

Look, I am certainly not someone who should be acting as the Marriage Police, but can we all agree that being engaged to Wife #3 after being divorced from Wife #2 for less than 6 months, who you were only together with for 2 years and got engaged to 6 months AFTER divorcing Wife #1, is probably NOT smart?

Especially with 3 kids?

Who are all under the age of 8?

With the littlest not even in kindergarten yet?

And you're only 30 years old?

Like, buddy. Maybe, I dunno, DON'T put a ring on it? I know Beyonce is influential and all, but maybe don't take her THAT seriously? I mean, there is plenty of loose milk around. You don't have to buy every cow you want to take a drink from.

That is all.

Lol I laughed way to hard at your cow comment!!!

Okay my cousin got married to wife #1, got divorced six months later. Wife #2 lasted until they got home from the honeymoon, wife #3 lasted two months. Wife #4 he actually had a kid with and stayed with until she finally booted him out. Wife #5 lasted maybe a week, and wife #6 the current seems to be holding for now and I think it's been about two years for them.

I can't take full credit for the cow comment. I partially stole it from comedian John Mulaney.

People have different views and expectations of marriage - especially those who seem  to have very poor evaluation and decision making skills.
If you want to mess up your own life on a marriage-go-round, have at it, but it is a shame when it affects your minor children.

What woman wouldn't run like a bat out of hell when he offered to put a ring on it????

Yeah, he might be fun to play around with for a short period of time, but to actually play house with or marry?  Heck no!

Years ago we went to a wedding - his 7th and her 5th.  When the minister got to the "until death do you part" portion of the vows there was audible giggling amongst the congregation.

Has he considered polygamy? It's been decriminalized in Utah, he could move there with all 3 women and start his own reality show.  This would be a much better option that the serial monogomist route he's choosing.

"Loose Milk!" WAHAHAHAHA *ROFL*

I am by no means against people who want to have multiple partners if that is what everyone wants. Whatever floats your collective boat.

But multiple marriages that are THAT quick and THAT short seems like a waste of time and resources. Dude is planning a 3rd wedding after just getting divorced for the 2nd time in less than 5 years, and he's an NCP paying child support while working a job making maybe $45,000/yr (or I assume based on where he works). I just want to know how he is affording so many weddings and divorces!
