Plans for a silent, simple, and self-indulgent New Years Eve stymied...

So my H was supposed to take the skids somewhere for New Years Eve. I don't know, something to do with other kids. This was going to leave me blissfully alone to ring in the New Year as I saw fit. I was looking forward to a night alone, a Walking Dead marathon, and maybe a bottle of wine. I planned on stretching out on the sofa, wrapped in my fuzzy red robe and slippers. I was so, so looking forward to it.

Then someone, somewhere, got sick. Their plans got canceled.

Now guess who gets the pleasure of their fucking presence? Me.

Fantastic. Not.

Thankfully my H made the decision to move the Wii back into the skids bedroom. This way I don't have to listen to SS whine and stomp his foot about me watching the TV. SD is currently whining and throwing something.

Good Lord.

What happens to my night now? Oh, I have The Walking Dead on from the DVR. I hate the fact that there is a mid-season finale. Bah. I'm still going to crack open a bottle of wine and I hope SD runs home and tells her mother. I can hear the bullshit missile whistling my way as I type this.

SD is terrified of it. To which I say, "good."

Right. One day. One day, I will.

I did something nice, something that I haven't done in a long while: I bought the skids something when I was out. Yesterday, my family went on a trip to Frankenmuth. Here in Michigan, it's a pretty great city with German heritage. The city is a tourist attraction here.

Anywho, while I was shopping, I bought my H and his kids some fresh, home made, huge salty pretzels.

Naturally the skids ate theirs without so much as a "Thank You LRP75."

I blame my H for that.

Frankenmuth is a great city! what is that Christmas store, Bronner's? that was really nice of you to bring those delicious pretzels home to ungrateful kids - sorry your New year's Eve got poo-poo'ed. Mine too Sad husband gone with his kids after cancelling plans with me.
Cheers to us!

We did go to Bronners! hahaha...

I bought a Bacon Ornament. Yes, bacon. Hahaaa... love it.

Bronners is a Christmas Wonderland or a Christmas Nightmare, depending on your prospective. It starts off as a wonderland for me, but after about the first 15 minutes, of 50 feet, whichever comes first, it becomes a nightmare. Smile

I'm so glad you know what I am talking about! Biggrin

The Walking Dead rocks!!!

Andrea is clueless. If she were my friend, I would have to put her out of her misery.
