Stepmom moment

DH comes home and says that SD20 wanted him to ask me if my place of work did "work terms" for students from the college (she is currently enrolled in Office Administration). I was so shocked I blurted "Is she cracked?!!!!"

I couldn't help it! I think DH was kinda miffed at my tone but it was a totally shocked response. The nerve of some people.

Anyway...after my initial reaction I told DH that under no circumstances would I recommend her for a work term at my place of work..NOPE!!! That's all I would need to have a reporter for BM at work every day!

AND I will make sure that I speak to the office manager to ensure that they know about my feelings on the matter because we do take a student every year from the college as summer help..sometimes leading to a full time job.

Dear GOD can you imagine?

Some people really have no clue at all do they? Funny, that DH was crazy enough to even ask!

My SD once asked DH if there were any openings where I work. We both laughed about that. She is the laziest person I know. Twenty-five years old and still doesn't have a job and doesn't want one. She only asked so that DH would think she was serious about working.

I have had many interns work for me for college credits in the past that are in my field. I know SD is interested in my field but has no ambition or college experience. Even if she did I'd never allow her in my office. Nope!

thank goodness our company policy states that family member can not work together lol.... thus I will never have this problem with Aergia who might be in the office.....

oh company policy also stipulates married couples may not work together - well I'm not married to SO, that's the only reason we both still works here, if we should get married one of us needs to resign
