Is there a way to make communication between BM and DH only via letter or email?
DH is sick of her calling or texting all the time and wants to do all communication with her via either letter or email so that we can have everything documented. Is there a way to request this legally through court?

Not sure about your state
but the state that we live in you can have it written in to/revise the parenting plan that all contact can be through email and that contact can be permitted if it is an emergency. We were ready to do that ourselves until we went to counseling and my FH grew a pair and told BM that unless there is an EMERGENCY concering SD that he will not take her calls and that if it is something important regarding school she can send an email. It was tough at first and she would still try but my FH held his ground and would not return her calls and only replied to an email because it was directly related to a school payment. Phone calls? He would listen for about 3 seconds and say I told you that I would only take calls if there is an emergency with my daughter this is not an emergency and I am hanging up. CLICK! I was so proud of him. This took a period of around 3 mths but we are now in a state of blissful peace and quiet and our relationship is so much better. Good luck i hope you get it all worked out.
Yes most courts will put
Yes most courts will put that in the papers if one parent is harrassing the other. Just don't answer the phone or texts, let her leave a message & only respond by email unless its an emergency. She will eventually get sick of hearing an answering machine & stop trying.
Good idea Melis,
I'm going to pass that one along to my hubby. I'm sick of BM using excuses to call my dh all the time. She also likes to get on the phone after DH talks to his kids and she tires to strike up conversations.
We tired the only communicating via email thing and what is boiled down to is that BM is too retarted to use a computer so that wouldn't work.
But I like the idea of never picking up and only responding when we want to. That gives us a lot of power back.
Thanks!
Just an added suggestion..
I would rather be hated for who I am, then loved for who I am not.
If dh and you decide to communicate with bm through the mail, send everything and I do mean everything CERTIFIED. There is an added expense to this, however, it serves as documentation should your dh have to go back to court agiants bm, showing that she did recieve the mail you sent. This form of communication has served my dh well. We are on our way back to court and bm is already telling her lawyer things like we never sent her this or that....uhhm yea we did, you signed for it, and we have the confirmation card stating that, and the card is in our files stapled to a copy of the letter that was sent. Good luck.
