My normally very well behaved guy was defiant and rude and yesterday at school. He pushed another child and was removed from class twice. When his teacher told him that she was good ng to tell me that he wasn't having a good listening day he said "haha, you can't tell my mom because my daddy is picking me up today"

No idea what got into him, but I was pissed. He got sat on his bed to think about his choices, and we had a long talk about expectation. He lost his TV show that night and no snacks. He accepted his consequences and seemed remorseful until bedtime. Then he threw a tantrum because I wouldn't let him eat an apple. He went to bed crying... I didn't tuck him in or hug him goodnight because of his tantrum.

Do you think I handled that right? Dh says I am a hard ass but I am so scared of my guy turning out to be like the skids.He's only 3 and already has figured out that daddy doesn't follow through and discipline. Its been almost 7 months since he had his last bad day at school

Man I hope he behaves today.....I hate punishing him, but I will do what I have to.
