Dh finally understands the depth of my ”I dont give a fuck” when it come to the inlaws

After years of them treating me and my kids like dog shit, I free a line in the sand. Those people are dead to me.....well actually ldss than dead, because I respect the dead.

I havent aknowledged their existance in about six months. Im sure dh just thought I was mad but I would get over it and play nice like usual.

Dh just got a call from step mil..... Sil has been Baker Acted for admitting suicidal thoughts to her shrink. Like usual he is rushing from work to go support a family that doesnt acknowledge his existance until they need him.

Do I care in the slightest? Nope. They have all made their beds, now theh can lay in it. I shall not be leaving work, I shall not be doing a damn thing. I quite frankly dont even want to hezr about it. And I told dh as much.

Told dh back in June that if I saw them in a fiery car wreck I would just keep driving.......and I ment it

Isn't sd living with your inlaws? Or does she live with mil? If she is, that may be his primary reason for going there so quickly.

He wants to be there for them? Great, but I'm glad you don't have to be. They sound like they are mean people.

Hopefully sil's getting baker acted will help her so she doesn't give anyone else the problems she gave you.

Congrats! Isnt it wonderful to not have to deal with dysfunctional people? I feel the same way about my inlaws-they've not been apart of my life for about 18 months-2 years. The only difference with me is if I saw them in a fiery wreck I WOULD stop. So I could pour gasoline on it.

You go girl! I wish I had your balls. DH's mama, brothers and adult kids use him as a money tree. Just like you said...when do hear from them...when they want somethng...money, do for them or cry about their problems. YET, I am only about money and a cold hearted. RIGHT...AND PIGS FLY!

justme-this is exactly what they said about me! And tried to convince dh about. That I was all about money, control and I was cold. In truth-they are the ones that are concerned about money. I've always worked-always had enough but not excessive amounts. They are they type that feel if you have more than they do its because it was given to you, or you were born with a silver spoon in your mouth-I've heard that one numerous times. It's really quite hilarious. My father was a high school drop out and a coal miner and my mom was a secretary. I didn't exactly grow up wealthy! I finally told my fil-in an email back in May what an asshat he was! That my parents were handed nothing-they just made better choices than he did and got off their asses and actually worked for a living instead of sitting around smoking pot and beating their kids.

All my inlaws disgust me. every single one of them. I think dh has maybe two cousins that I find tolerable out of about 100 family members. The rest can all rot in hell. Dh's aunts whom he was raised closely with and WAS very close with-defriended him on facebook and stopped speaking to him over a year ago. Why? Who knows exactly? It likely had something to do with the fact that he called the police to report someone opening credit cards in dh's name and charging them up. That someone turned out to be my sil. They thought it was so wrong that dh "had her arrested". Look,you dipshits-she was arrested because she broke the law. Dh did not arrest anyone-does not have the power to get anyone arrested. They were not concerned with the fact that she stole his identity and stole from him-only that he told someone about it. In one breath they would say that they did not believe she did it, then the next they say dh should have just paid it. I know they KNOW she did it-but they will not come out and admit and have turned against dh for it.

To add to the idiocy, my fil used to randomly call dh and leave these messages such as, "you better not drag me into court or you will be sorry?" WTF? Why would he even think dh is dragging anyone to court and why would he even think he has a dang thing to do with any of it!
