Dh called to let me know he was talking to some family members, and apparently BIL has been running his mouth about all his nieces and nephews. About how all the kids in the family are out of control and disrespectful. We are both quite put off by that comment, esp since BIL sees our kids maybe once a year.

I said something to the effect of how that applies to some of the kids, but not all. Dh goes.. You mean it just applies to niece7. Nope, I can see how he thinks that about niece7 ss11 and sd10. He started to get defensive and I pointed out that then only time he's been around our kids in over a year was nieces birthday so that's what he was basing that statement off of (read blog on that disaster here

I said bs3 was perfectly well behaved that day (and always) and niece3 behaved very well that day (and usually does) so it wasn't fair to include them or the two babies in his statement. He agreed with me at first about the skids behavior that day.....and at the time he as livid with them and horribly embarrassed by how they acted.

By the time we had hung up he did a complete 180 and his kids behaved fine that day and they are just kids after all.
