o/t walmart scooters and door greeter and the guy that tried to use it

purpledaisies's picture

We were at Walmart yesterday and as we were walking out this Guy was using those scooters for people who can't walk that great. So anyway the door greeter asked him what was wrong with him and he said his knee hurt. The door greeter told him unless he has a cast or crutches or something to that effect he wasn't riding it and to park it.

As he was walking off I noticed this Guy was walking great as if nothing was wrong no limp no showing of pain on his face nothing. He was walking normal.

I lmao knowing he got caught and the kicker is he has his kid with him and she gave her dad this look like you git caught. LOL

That ranks right up there with people who take handicapped parking spaces. I know, they *may* have the handicap tag hanging on their mirror, but it's maddening to see them pull in, hop out of their car (with no problem) and skip into the store.

On one occasion (because I was already in a mood) I saw this guy do that and asked him why he did (there was obviously nothing physically wrong with him) -- he laughed and said, "Because I can!" Mind you, no tag hanging from his mirror OR handicap plates on his car

My response: "Well then your handicap must be MENTAL because I don't see a limp."

I know, not nice. But neither is taking DESERVED space for the hell of it.

Looks can be deceiving. I have MS and it may look like there is absolutely nothing wrong with me but after a shopping trip I definately feel it.

I understand that, but taking those parking spaces just because it's "close" (without any designation of handicap, because then it's technically illegal) is NOT RIGHT.

My first DH was debilitated due to a brain tumor, had difficulty walking for quite a while before he was completely wheelchair bound. But because we didn't have a handicap plate or tag I wouldn't dream of parking in one of those spots.

haha, one of the grocery stores in my area has specialy designated parking spots right next to the handicap spots for pregnant woman.. they call it "stork parking" I swear to God, the whole 9 months I was pregnant I NEVER parked in one of those spots, because I was very small, never got much of a belly until about 7-8 months and then it was winter, so with a big coat on, you still couldn't really tell I was pregnant. I was afraid people would think that I was just being a scumbag and parking where I shouldn't be, so I never parked there!

I still laugh to myself when I go there and see those parking spots about what a dork I was.

Yep it always bugs me when I see people taking advantage of things that clearly is not for them. Plus what was he teaching his daughter?

Whack Job Walmart customers.... You'll love this one:

One day I was at the Customer Service desk at Walmart waiting in line for a Gift Card or something. This guy pulls up in a scooter, gets to the counter and pulls out this little baggie with something wrapped in a napkin inside. He puts it on the counter and tells the girl that he bought a peach pie and that there was something in it that hurt his tooth and he'd like a refund and hands her the baggie. The gal was like "Ok, so you bought a pie, ate a piece and it hurt your tooth? Do you have the rest of the pie?" the guy says "No I ate it, that's what's left" and points to the baggie WTF?

I would punch someone in the throat if I had to work at Walmart... for sure
