sd19 acting like SO girlfriend

Raggles's picture

Watching tv with my SO and sd19 came and sat next to him. She then proceeded to swing her legs over him and lie across him.
He did nothing!

I got up and left the room, he then went outside so i followed and mentioned very calmly that it was not normal for a 19yo to sit on the sofa acting like girlfriend/boyfriend with her dad. He needed to put a stop to it or i was going home

we went back in and sat down and she tried it again, he did stop her and after 4-5 attempts she finally got the message and gave up trying.

Now i have gone home though i wonder if he will let it start again, giving her mixed messages.

I doubt the daughter will try it if you went home, the behavior --it is all for your benefit. She is like a cat, marking her territory so you can physically see she is closer to daddeee (or so she thinks), than you. She is too old to be doing any of this anyway, and heck yes he should stop it; it is moving in the sick and twisted arena.

Even if she moves out, she will continue her passive aggressiveness toward you in a variety of other ways.

If you have no children, I would not put all my eggs in this basket; what you are seeing now is your future if you stay with this man.

Is he worth the continuous emotional struggle you will have with this woman--and, he you will be on your own, he will not likely be in our court

Give it some thought now....

I bet she only does it when you are around. When you aren't there she probably won't even watch tv with him.
