Coming up on the final court date- about a month away. Mixed emotions. He's still a stranger to me, someone I thought I knew but really never did. I'm not sure anyone truly knows him-even himself.

I worked last week. Hard. I taught 250 8th graders at an inner city school all week. Shakespeare. Even the remedial readers. That was actually a pleasant surprise.

I had decided to go back to school for a paralegal degree. Then posted it on FB as well as discussed it with my counselor. The consensus is that law firms don't hire paralegals because law students do it for free in their internships. Back to the drawing board.

I decided to get the D and move over with, then really embark on some serious meditating on what the hell I will do with my life. I had a plan in place when I met him. I also had my own home (with half equity) and no debt other than my college loan. I had a full time job with little pay but lots of benefits. My life was good and solid then. I traded it all for a false sense of security.

Lessons learned for sure.

I still can't post much here. Still know someone's likely reading. But wanted to check in, say hi, I miss everyone and I still read keep an eye out on here for everyone.

My only advice now for any step? Step lightly. Step slowly. Step away from toxic, step toward what makes YOU happy.
