Well DH has been doing well not talking to the kids through BM daily. He's put almost a complete stop to that because SD11 has a phone and he told BM if he couldn't talk to her on that, he'd call periodically but NO MORE nightly calls.

BM says DH can't talk to SD11 and SD8 on that phone and all NIGHTLY calls MUST go through her. OK crazy, so DH sees them supposedly EOWE, he calls maybe 1-2 times between seeing them.

DH called from out of town and told me that BM informed him SD11 needs knee surgery. OK, Why and did something happen? I asked. I know I shouldn't but it seemed he wanted to talk about it. I try to be fully disengaged but it's hard with crazy around.

DH said BM says (this is always how it goes) that SD11 was just standing in Gym class and her knee popped out of place. So DH asked why they didn't pop it back in. So BM (in her usual) says the DR says she now needs surgery because SD11's knee can't support her. OK this is so odd. Let me explain, this kid just had foot surgery last summer.

Anytime DH puts boundaries on BM, or stops doing xyz for BM, SD11 has a surgery, sickness, illness or problem. WTF?? I'm not saying that SD11 may not need surgery but it's just damn funny how this happens after months of DH not talking to BM all chummy nightly.

I have to say SD11 runs through my house like everyone else. Rides her bike, runs around outside and even has the nerve to jump on the air mattresses to pop them. So I'm a little confused about what is so urgent with her knees since she NEVER complains about any pain or problems at OUR house to her dad.

I think BM has munchausen by proxy. PERIOD. And if that's the case it's a very sad situation.
