SS13 returned from his EOW visit with BM last night and is already back to ignoring me. Profusely apologized just this last Thursday night for the "I hate you" etc comments that he made to me that morning, but is now being a jerk again. That didn't take long.

My MIL was over last night before we went to get SS13 and she asked me why I don't just let DH handle everything with him. (She asked very nicely of course and her parenting style is very strict like mine is. She just doesn't like to hear that her grandson is behaving this way). Well, after I let her know that I have 3 of my own BKs to worry about and I don't need him treating me poorly and my kids thinking that there is a double standard, etc. I also explained that her dear son is also hard of hearing and can't always hear what SS13 says under his breath when he's upset - though I've mostly broken him of that since my hearing is EXCELLENT!

Anyway, SS13 is still on restriction from electronics until this evening - pending a perfect report from his teacher on his homework last week. But that still leaves his belongings that he needs to earn back since taking them away last Friday after his embarassing performance during karate class belt testing (and by embarassing performance, I mean not taking it seriously and barely doing any of the motions) and then talking back to his dad when his dad called him on it.

It never ends with this kid. DH is seriously about to start asking that time and phone calls be taken away from BM because she spends so much time filling his head with garbage during her EOWs.

I'm torn on whether to disengage or just keep on bithin' on! But disengaging really isn't even a possibility since I have my kids upbringing that I need to always consider.
