SS might have gotten the puppy he has been promised for years.

At the last exchange BM brought a puppy. She has been telling SS that he was getting a puppy since I (and my dog) moved in with DH 4 years ago. SS (who is 7) kept saying "doggy, doggy look mom a doggy" (Dog was in the car) Who in their right mind buys a puppy for a child? SS has told us before the dog he is getting he will be responsible for. God lord these people amaze me you really think a 7 year old that can't keep a toy for more then a day without it getting lost can take care of a puppy.

P.S. Nope this dog will not being coming to our house EVER.

Me too. My other thing is they have a small house there are 4 people living there a cat and now 2 dogs. That just seems like a lot for a small house in a place that it is cold in the winter.

You are doing something right as a parent. Smile SS doesn't help with our animals at all as well as cleaning up after himself is a battle let alone something else.

Our BM went and got a puppy for the skids a couple of HOURS before they were to go with DH to meet me for the first time. We couldn't understand why little SD was crying so much. Well, DUH, she didn't want to meet ME...she wanted to be at BM's playing with the puppy!

A couple months later, when BM decided to take the skids out of school for a month long vacation (without telling DH, of course), she got rid of that pet. Instead of, oh I don't know, finding someone to watch it for her?? One of many that she would pull the same game with over and over again. Sometimes dogs. Sometimes cats.
