OT/ MyLife and other information background check sites

Periodically I do a google search of myself just to make sure there's nothing weird floating around.  Today I find a MyLife profile with my former name and former address but with my correct date of birth for anyone who wants to view it.  Me no like.  It asked it this was me and I clicked yes and it offered to control my content.  I was supposed to give yet more info including email etc.  I'm sure there will be some fee associated with controlling what is put out there on the web about me.  Anyone else deal with this? What do you suggest?

My estranged younger sister posted all sorts of MIS information about me and my grown children (wrong ages/DOBs) on one of those geneology sites.  I asked for them to remove/hide it and never got a response

Send an email to [email protected] and tell them to remove your profile because it  not only violates your privacy, it's inaccurate and that it's  being used to  stalk you. ( whether anyone is or not)... They removed mine in 7-10 days.

Most sites have an opt out option.  Some push back under the guise that what they publish is readily available public info.

MyLife's response will depend on the consultant that happens to review your request.  If you get the canned response that they don't remove data because its public info but you can become a member for a fee and control your data if you don't like it you can still get the profile deleted with a little pushback of your own.  Don't be discouraged by a first round refusal.

Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but these sites pop up all the time. The information can be gathered from public records. One site had my previous married name, my XH's name, address, etc. Much of the information came from Facebook, my Gmail account, divorce record, etc. It's not hard to pull all that information.

Not sure I have much advice other than to just keep tracking it all down and asking for it to be removed.

I really hate seeing my Xname with my Xhusband's on Spokeo and white pages.  I'm going to try the stalking advice above bc my XH  is a stalker.  I had to change my email address after 10 years because he would not leave me alone. Let me tell you how much a pain in the butt that is.  There are so many aspects of your life attached to a 10 year old email address.
