OT: Why education is soooo important

stormabruin's picture

I've been watching Craigslist for a second vehicle. DH & I are sharing one vehicle & have been for a couple of years now. It's limited his job opportunities, & now we're looking at the possibilities another vehicle could offer as far as trying to get SS motivated to get out of BM's house & on his own.

So, I'm searching the cars/trucks in our area & I'm blown away by the listings that are posted like this:

97 mitz eclipse.Needs timeing belt and maY need engine work does not run. Dent in each frunt fender but should b able to nock them out. Carpet could use cleanin but overall its a nice car. Text or call four9for-1oh5sixx wont let me upload pics. But i can send them n phone. if u wanna trade somethin the valu needz to b atleast 500 worth. but i will drop the cash pice to 400. like i said it dont run but iz worth lot more than 400 people wants parts all the time if u dont decide to fix it dont waist my time

It hurts my head to read shit like this. It makes me sad that these people post things like this & expect serious inquiries. I hate to know that these people are/will be reproducing in our communities & raising the generations to come. I think about how difficult it is for educated people to get jobs now & I wonder what this guys resume looks like. How does he fill out an application? Sad

I can't believe how many of those are posted just like this!

LOL!

ETA: I'm half-tempted to call & talk to his mom & suggest she take his phone away until he's passed his English class.

^^^^My SIL is one of them.^^^^ I even told her she should go get her money back from the college that DARED to give her a degree because it's not worth the paper it's printed on. She's a fucking idiot of the highest order.

It's not even just the spelling. It's the whole thing! He can't even blame it on his phone. Auto-correct will throw in a wrong word, but it won't misspell. Unreal.

OMG and for some reason I have found Craigslist to be riddled with this shit.... and I mean landlords, people selling shit, people offering services... it's crazy.

and read my quote below...... THIS is why!

stormabruin's picture

It's all true! My parents would be mortified if I EVER presented myself in such ignorant form. Look at the extra time he had to spend spelling out every other number in the phone number. What is that all about???

I totally agree! And speaking PROPER English has fallen by the wayside. DH and SD11 BOTH have problems speaking correctly. (although in SDs defense English is NOT her first language ASL is but still.....) subposibly, libary, aminal, and my biggest pet peeve from them anyways! Ugh and DH was an honor student!

Ohhhh good ones! And ax. My nephew says this "I want to AX you a question." no damnit it's ASK!

Another one that irks the crap out of me is the borrow vs loan. "He borrowed me a pencil". :?

Honestly, who would want to buy a car from this person.

How would you know he was smart enough to have "chaingd the oyl"?

One of my offices is in the 'hood- pet peeves- 1. :I ain't stuttin' him (or her).2." I have to go across the screet". 3. "I'm getting my hair/nails/wig did". 4. "Chil-BOO".Please message me if you wish for the translations! }:)

Oh, I just remembered, BM found her current husband on Craigslist. I wonder how much she buyed him for.

Well, since your BM already has a DH & had success with Craigslist, I'll help myself to the Otterman that NachoMom came across for our BM.

She likes dolphins. I don't guess an otterman would be so far out for consideration. }:)

This is quite interesting blog post. Education is a key of your life. Without education you can not survive in this world. I am currently writing professional essay writing for my students which discuss the same thing along with the benefits of education in future.
