Robotic vacuum
So today my Bobsweeps arrived. I got it for 139.00... I am in love. It did get stuck a couple of times with my arm chair in the living room, but I put pillows around it. The only bummer it is not progrprogrammable like the ones for several hundred more. On the plus it has a huge dust pan. I plan on running it when we go up to bed so I am not too worried and putting it upstairs to vacuum when we are home.
I think it will be a great investment as kitty sheds clumps of hair. Before the cat I only needed to vacuum once a week because the dog really doesn't shed, now we do a couple of times and also spot clean with the dust buster.
I will still need to vacuum, but this will take care of those clumps.yeah!@!

i love my roomba and neato
i love my roomba and neato for general maintenance
We have a roomba and love it.
We have a roomba and love it. There are some pros and cons though.
It's loud. We have it run during the day when we are at work. We have cats so having it run in the bedroom getting the cat hair under the bed and made a huge change for us with allergies.
It's not as good as a traditional vacuum but running it everyday keeps the maintenance down. We have tile and area rugs. Roomba has issues with one b/c it has a really thick pile (to be fair, the regular vacuum is a full body workout on that rug too) and the oriental rug is cream and black and the roomba gets confused in the black sections thinking it's the edge of the floor so won't go over those areas.
All in all, it's a great splurge. I wouldn't give up my normal vacuum as a replacement but love that it runs daily. It's a welcome addition.
I want one but with a cat
I want one but with a cat that overeats his food and then sometimes throws it up I just can't risk it. I'd have throw up all over my house if the roomba runs through it.
I know someone whose ran
I know someone whose ran through poop...not good and not an urban myth.
I have an amazing Shark stick
I have an amazing Shark stick vacuum that I will still be using hopefully just once a week.
The only reason I wanted this was because of the kitty shedding daily.
As good of a job as I thought this did, it would not replace my regular vacuum. It isn't very noisy, does not talk back, and the dust him was huge. It would be awesome if it was programmable but turning it on when I leave the house or go to bed works for me just fine if it saves me several hundred dollars.
I LOVE my gadgets!! I have a
I LOVE my gadgets!! I have a "smart washing machine" with a door on it that you can open in case you forget an item of clothing that needs to be washed after starting a load.
I have had a neato for a long time. It has more suctioning power than the Roomba but the cycle doesn't last as long. I have mostly hardwood and slate floors with some area rugs.
My neato is a relatively new acquisition for the other side of the house. Would love to run both of them daily, however the trick is to prep before you go and Chef often leaves his work boots lying about so it can become a struggle before you are off at work.
If you have pets who have accidents, beware. The robotic vacuum will roll right over the mess and spread it throughout the house. Something to be aware of.
I have a shark rocket? pet vac for deep cleaning and a battery hand vac which I love. Robots are strictly for maintenance as they don't get up everything--so really not a replacement for a regular vac.
I like my Bissell steam mop as well; even for hardwoods as it dries quickly. Oh and with a robotic vacuum, you'll find you have to dust much less often--it really helps keep the dust and pet hair at bay.
I had the steam mop and
I had the steam mop and didn't like it on laminate floors. The vacuum is amazing.
The wiener dog is very dandery so I am thinking I am gonna love this. I may even has bs10 run the upstairs when he is home alone in the morning before the bus comes. He would love to...he loves gadgets too.
I'm looking into getting one
I'm looking into getting one for the walkout basement in our new place.
Our master bedroom is on the main floor as well as our living spaces. Downstairs is a bar, workout room, family room, extra bedrooms and bathrooms.
We won't ever go downstairs unless we have guests or do a movie night ourselves. I want the robot to keep it vacuumed so that I don't have to go down there to vacuum.
It's almost all carpet, except behind the bar, the workout room and the bathroom floors. I'm hoping the robot will be able to do the whole basement in one run.
