The Engine That Could
Well, I don't look or feel like much these days but I am trying to just keep boosting myself up despite what is thrown at me. I made another appointment with my primary doctor's office so that I could get additional care and they would send me to a dermatologist and also call a different rheumatologist because I can't get anywhere. GA is different because your doctor's office has to call for a specialist appointment and I am not used to that. It's very confusing and frustrating when you are dependent on someone else. The dermatitis is driving me crazy, some spots start to get a little better but then I get about 3 new ones in their place. So, it's like I need to ask for a very strong prescription or a blow torch. My husband is getting around a bit better but is complaining of stiffness but I pretty much expected that would happen. I have been having migraines again for the last 3 days now. I tried to have some quiet time this afternoon and spent time cooking a nice dinner.
I haven't heard back again from my stepson....I know that I shouldn't be upset about the MD thing but after all this time and just recently being at the house you would think he would have the decency and respect to call. It just really bothers me a lot. Maybe one day I'll get to see his kids treat him the same way.

Sweetie...
Regarding your dermatitis problem, have you used anything new for your skin lately, like new soap or something? It's hard to determine what causes that it could be from anything, food, stuff around your house like furniture material, or anything you might have touched. Maybe you should get a second opinion with a different dermatologist. I remember when I was pregnant and right about the 3rd trimester I developed these rash, red spots on certain parts of my body and it was itchy like crazy, it would appear here and there. It was most active in the evening. I took cool showers to alleviate the itchiness and kept my self cool at all times, using a fan, it was summertime so the heat made it worse for me. I went to see a dermatologist and he said it was a side effect of my pregnancy and that it will go away once I gave birth. It did go away after 2 mos after I delivered my baby, it never came back. I tried all kinds of atopic cortisones and it didn't work. Anyway, go and get a second opinion.
Going for 2nd Opinion
I am going for a 2nd Opinion to see a dermatologist but what my primary care doctor really thinks is that the atopical dermatitis is really related to is joint connective tissue disease. I have an appointment scheduled for the 1st week in July because that is how soon they could get me scheduled, but meanwhile I am pretty miserable. My primary physician already started running some of the preliminary testing but I am going to see if they will just go ahead and start the rest now. I am at a complete loss and am highly allergic to a lot of insect stuff. I have a doctor's appointment tomorrow and you better believe I'll probably pitch a fit if someone doesn't do something soon.
Thanks for your reply.

Hope things get better soon,
Hope things get better soon, I know how you feel about being itchy every second. I was driving my husband crazy when I had that. Try to think happy thoughts, don't know if stress is helping it. Let us know what happens.
