Scrambled
It's been a couple of days since I've written down any lengthy thoughts. But I have viewed and written comments in others blogs, as I have virtually relived some events many times over in reading your sites. So, I empathize with many of you.
The heat is one here.....has been for about a week or more now. The pool is virtually like a big warm bathtub, and doesn't even offer appealing relief. It's just a virtual monster that seems to slurp up every available ounce of chlorine that we pour in. I've heard that this heat will last until sometime until September. I am trying to get some weeding done in an area that seem to have gone hog wild, not really a large section but if you ever a section that grows, its always the weeds and not the plants.
And I have some kind of vines, with little red flowers, looks a little like a fern, but like nicotina, that is choking the life out of everything that is growing. So, I am clipping like crazy these days to try and get rid of it. And the gnats here are unlike anything I've seen before. They bombard you in the face. And there are biting flies. So, even if I'm covered with DEET, I have bug bites on my calves, even with wearing pedal pushers, or long pants (if I absolutely have to) but I won't wear shorts outside. It's crazy. The county road crews are out working on our gulleys and ditches to make sure we don't get standing water for mosquitoes. This is the craziest climate I've ever been in.
We are scheduled to go to the mayor's court for my husband's speeding ticket this afternoon. I still shake my head about that one. I guess my husband must have been in LA LA LAND with the radio cranked up in that red F150 truck. And he sure got noticed. I'll have to let you all know what happens with that, especially in a small town, where the mayor makes the decisions. Not sure if that is good or not.
There's a lot I am confused about these days but haven't written down. I just keep waiting for change, because I can generally count on things to change. Hope everyone has a good day. Take care of yourself, and I'll check in later.
Regards,
Sweetie
