"There are children out there catching this virus, some of them require hospitalization, others can fight it at home. If your child gets sick & needs to be hospitalized, how likely is it that mum & dad will get to be by their child’s side as they fight for their lives? If enough children get sick, how long do you think it will be before hospitals start banning parents from being there with/for their kids? "

Expect that this is going to happen very soon.  It already has in Italy and in New York you already have to give birth alone with out a partner, parent or doula.  If there isn't enough PPE for the staff, they aren't going to give it to visitors.  In the UK where you can still accompany a child to hospital, it is limited to 1 parent/carer no matter what is wrong with the child.

This is my greatest fear, that my baby or stepsons will catch this & end up being in the hospital without me, BM or DH present. How horrifically terrifying would that be for them, not to mention how awful for the parents to not get to be by their child’s side. I do not and cannot understand why anyone would ever want to take that risk. If love kept us all safe none of us would be sick. I wish people would see reason Sad

Not to be a fearmongering, but a 7 month old tested positive in Santa Rosa County, FL. I have problems posting links from my cell. If you go to WEARtv.com you'll find the story

Boris (UK prime minister) and Matt Hancock (Minister for Health - think Alex Azzar) have both tested positive for C19 today.

Our local children's hospital actually posted on all of their social media yesterday to address this rumor. They specifically said that they wil not ban parents from staying in the hospital with their children.

I thought about this last night. I'd rather it was me alone in a hospital room drowning from the inside than it be my DS19. It hurt me more to think of him isolated, alone, and dying.

My sister's first grandchild was born early February.  They had to do some procedure to the tongue.  My sis went with DIL to the doctors yesterday for a checkup on that procedure.  They wouldn't let my sis go in with them.  They also said if the child were a little older, the Mother wouldn't have been able to go back either.  Sorry I didn't get an age for that to happen.
