MIL strikes again...
MIL wants to go away for the weekend, wants it to be the whole "happy family" and of course it "just hasto be on an SD weekend, she would be heartbroken if she couldn't come."
Yeah, um no.
I would never be able to take a trip with MIL. a). she is stuck so far up SD's ass that she would inevitably be there no matter what weekend it was and then i'd have to deal with the screaming, coddling, tantrums the whole trip. b). even if SD didn't come, that would be allllllllll i'd hear about the whole damn trip. i barely survived the last visit out there when we went fishing.
So, DH is all like yeah yeah, sounds like fun, while I am thinking in my head that I would rather stab my eyes out with a fork then be put through that torture.
Good times...

Tis the season to be sick...I feel the flu coming on }:)
Lol, yes ...very very sick
Lol, yes ...very very sick *cough*
So sick that you may need to
So sick that you may need to get your girls together and drink away that flu!
yes yes, perhaps a nice pina
yes yes, perhaps a nice pina colada
Yeah, that's the problem,
Yeah, that's the problem, besides her obsession with DH's daughter (I have always thought her way of trying to make up being an absent mother to DH) our relationship is fine. She has always really liked me, and I her - except when she trys to pull DH's daughter crap down my throat. It's like a constant flood of pics, info, play by plays, and things i just don't really care to hear. The same stories over and over and over again. The same mushy, puke-worthy , baby-worded stories.
It makes it difficult to have a good relationship with MIL. I avoid her phone calls because I just won't want to hear more about DH's daughter.
You're right, it's in a way more difficult because you look like a beast when you don't say yes to her or if you object to something.
