At work, even though I don't need to be.

The office is a ghost town... most are either working from home or took the day off. I am here because the skids are home from school and I'd rather shower, dress, get in the car for a 30 minute commute and sit here bored than deal with them all day... especially considering the next 2 days will be solid Christmas interaction with them.

There are a few people milling around and I wonder... do they also have skids they are avoiding?

Oh yeah I remember it well. Although I am a relatively new employee here (18 mos) and my skids have PASed out, I remember avoiding GG's entitlement sessions like the plague by staying as long as I could at work.

It's a ghosttown here as well. Just waiting to pick up the crown roast of pork for Sunday's dinner after work is done.

Drooooooool... that is awesome, enjoy it!

My SO and skids have "traditions" on Christmas Eve and Day, which involve going out to eat. Apparently this came about because BM gave up on cooking lavish meals for ingrates. Ha.

I'm okay with that since I don't have to slave over it... but I do miss a lovely home Christmas dinner. Duck and crown roast sound like what my dad would make. Nice.

Ha! I hear ya! I was off yesterday and today and could take all next week as well, but am actually looking forward to going to work on Monday. Even though i'm not ever privvy to the perfect preciouses visiting schedules, and we actually havent seen them in over a month, I'll bet the ranch they will both be here on Christmas night with thier proverbial bells on to scarf up thier gifts from daddy dearest. They'll spend the night as a concession to make themselves look good oh and BM will of course need her free babysitter...so f that...I'm working ALL next week. DH was like wow, you have to work the whole week? Yep, yep...oh woe is me....NOT!
