cell phone recording devices--help!
Forums:
Well if you read my blog, you'll understand I need to get a cell phone recording device soon. Ideally something where I can have actual conversations recorded, and also voicemails left. Ideally it would also be something where I could transfer the data files onto a computer, and burn them as media files onto a cd, b/c if it's actual tape, it's going to be hours and hours of time.
How do we do this? need spy help, LOL!
google it!
when in doubt, go google!!!!!

phone provider
Check with your cell phone provider, if they don't do it, try others in your area. You never know who has this service unless you research. I would also try a eletronics place like Best Buy or Radio Shack, they may have that stuff, you just have to ask.
I'll ask FH to contact provider for cell
we don't have the same service, so he'll have to check it out himself. I can definitely swing by radio shack too, that might be the easiest, the people at Best buy around here never seem to have a clue...

phone device
Hello, I went throught the same thing for my boyfriend...His ex is always threating with moving away and alls kinds of crazies so our attorney said record. Well as you know its not so easy on a cell phone...I found awaw!! I am google master(not joking) and I found an answer and can say it works GREAT because we bought it and used it!! Go to www. BrickHouseSecurity.com and type in cc10, which is a ear piece you plug into the input microphone part of a digital recorder and then put it in your ear. It has a micro phone in it that picks up the conversation! IT WAS A MIRICLE FIND!! It costs $30+s&h, but is worth every penny! We spent about $100 total on ear piece and recorder...make sure recorder has a usb device so that you can down load it to your pc, also you will prob have to down load a driver to read the device! Any ?'s e mail me and I'll be happy to help!! Good Luck!!!
Glad to help...

So-a question

When you use a recording device on a cell phone, do you have to (legally) let the other party know the conversation is being recorded?
I have been told so...
though with leaving voicemails, there isn't an expectation of privacy. We plan on telling the BM in the conversation where we "break it to her" that SD isn't going back to her house that we will be recording all phone conversations from here on out, (and record us saying that to her) so there will never be an argument about it later. Plus maybe, just maybe, with that looming over her head, she'll remain a bit more civil. (not likely, but hey, hope is hope...)

It's a state thing...
It depends on your states statutes! Ask an attorney. In nebraska as long as one party knows about the recording it is legal and holds up in court!!
