I find this absolutely ridiculous. I understand getting him for back support but really trying to take custody for standing his ground?

As long as the doctor is legally licensed I think she's protected from suits. After all she didn't make a decision just a opinion which the court should consider in its deliberation.
But yes it sure gets stupid some times. Too much money is part of the problem. And by stupid I mean the shrink and the mother who called the shrink over the matter.
