And I just want to say thank you to everyone on it. I've been on here for 2 years or so and I've gotten so much support from various people here. It's nice to have somewhere to turn to when you're dealing with awkward step-situations that others don't understand.

So thank you all <3 I'm glad we have each other to vent to!

I never even thought of the therapy bills... I would definitely have some of those if it weren't for this website Smile

I know I would probably be in therapy right now too if it wasn't for finding this site. No one talks about being a step, it's like a dirty little secret that no one wants to talk about because it is socially unacceptable to say your skids drive you up the friggin' wall! OR *gasp* you don't have those warm and fuzzy feelings for said skids who make you want to pluck your hair out one by one...

I love this site. It's brutally honest about steplife.

I actually looked into getting myself into therapy, looked all around our area for someone that specialized in step family situations and there were a total of ZERO. I would have to pay at least $75/hour plus drive a minimum of 45 minutes one way to get there. I read/lurk more than I post, but just reading everyone else's situations and responses helps tremendously. LOVE this site!
