Christmas came early!!!
Last night was the first night in over five years that I saw my skids get what was coming to them. Both of the kids enjoy complaining about my husband and I to their mother, grandmother, aunt and uncles. My spouse and I are going away soon for a week and half...just the two of us. The skids are older and I wasn't crazy about them staying in the house while we were gone, I wanted them to go stay with their other grandmother, but my spouse was ok with them staying behind due to their ages. I learned along time ago, it is best for me to just bow out of the skids crap. One is in college and the other a senior in high school.
However, because they complained so much and were spotlighting what they were going to do while we are gone...other grandma and mom came through with some plane tickets for them for the holiday!
I about fell right through the floor as they were both all up in arms about going. Had every excuse in the book as to why they could not go. Of course my spouse was disney dad and tried to get them out of it. But, their mama bear one. I dislike her very much, but this time I was rooting for her. As I didn't want the skids in the house by themselves either. Grandma lives down the road and was willing to take them, but because they didn't want to go...they won their way or so they thought. LOL
My Christmas gift came early, and an adult lesson in life hopefully for my skids. I am honestly hoping they have a great time at their mom's and realize all that their dad does for them as they both do not have any clue how lucky they really are. As for myself, I will be waving goodbye for the holidays and resting on the beach...far away from the drama. :jawdrop:
Wow! That's great that BM
Wow! That's great that BM sent tickets so they'd have to go see her! Enjoy your vacation and the peace of mind knowing that they aren't partying and destroying your home while you're away!
