OT - Women Wednesday
Happy Hump Day, STalkers! Yes, the title says 'women', but this pertains to men, too!
While plenty consider this time to be a season of joy, that's not always true for everyone. Joy can be hard to find due to:
- Loss of loved ones
- Health issues
- Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD)
- Job problems (my best friend lost her job last week)
- Family problems
- Simply overwhelmed by the hustle and hustle
It's important to remember that THE most important thing to take care of is YOU. We've heard the saying...

Happy Hump Day, STalkers! What a crazy-busy week. King Pita has been emailing ridiculous stuff daily (you need a permanent vacation, KP!). Temp here is a balmy 37. That's jacket weather!
We haven't had a Women Wednesday in a long time. Some are struggling with SAD, some are simply overwhelmed. Me? I'm furiously making lists to soothe the OCD Beast and maintain a semblance of order.

Welcome to Hump Day, STalkers! It's certainly been a busy week. Temp here is upper 50s and rainy and I'm craving a cup of Corsican Pear Spice rooibos tea. *biggrin*
A YUGE thanks to all who have received and reported the troll PMs. Keep it up!
As before, I know some of you are going through difficult times. Do NOT take these despicable word vomits personally. This person is obviously ill.
Do not let the behavior of others destroy your inner peace. ~Dalai Lama
Please feel free to share something uplifting. <3

Happy Hump Day, STalkers! The title say Women, but Men are welcome to comment, too.
As I tossed and turned last night (Insomnia came a'callin'), I was thinking about Lt. Dad's Fireside Chats and wishing I had her eloquence. But I'm more comfortable behind a bar and my gift for words is suited to writing technical documentation. So....

I don't know about anyone else, but I'm hard on myself. Hard? Pfffft; more like downright BRUTAL At some point in my life, I decided that if I'M meaner to me than anyone else, their words won't hurt as much. Instead of talking myself UP, I've been talking myself down. In a way, I'm mentally abusing MYSELF. That is SO jacked up. Who else is a self-abuser??

By my recent blogs, you may have surmised that I will soon have the displeasure of being in the presence of Satan, er, BioHo. Yippee.
Over the years (yesterday marked my 7 year anniversary of joining STalk!), I have often been advised "Don't Go" to any events where the noxious (and obnoxious) 'Ho is in attendence. And part of me wanted to do exactly that to avoid her toxicity and BS.

Men are welcome to comment, too! This is more of a blog to remind myself that I made the choice to learn and grow during the chaos. It's been a bit of a rollercoaster ride and I haven't always been successful, but I've definitely come out on top.
We've been dealing with the stress and strain of the pandemic/quarantine for over a year now. Some areas have opened up and are going full speed ahead while others continue to have restrictions and closed/limited access. And while things ARE moving forward, we have experienced loss - jobs, businesses, loved ones.

Happy hump day, STalkers! The title says Women, but Men are welcome, too.
Life seems to be chaos with no clear end in sight, so I've been stepping back more from the ugliness to seek peace and beauty.
I stumbled across a quote by Omar Khayyam that was (to me) profound and lovely and wanted to share it with you...

Happy Hump Day, STalkers! Sorry this is so late in the day, but I'm trying to not overdo things on the computer screen (and still using JAWS part-time).
The world continues to be a cross between an apocalyptic nightmare and an introvert's dream.
What are you doing to take care of YOU? I have been:

OT - Women Wednesday
It's been quite awhile since I've done one of these. A dear friend called me, overwhelmed and crying, and is the catalyst for this.
What the HELL is wrong with people that they feel the perverse need to tear someone down at a low (quite possibly the lowest) point in her life?? When someone is wounded and vulnerable, there are sick individuals who jumnp right in, say THE worst thing, stick in the knives, and twist with all they've got. Here are a couple examples...
