I have lost it...
I have been doing this step parenting thing for almost 16 years....yes you have read that number right. I am soooooooooo DONE!! I have 6 months left before my last step child graduates from high school. If she makes it past her 18th birthday which is in March. I think she will move out just like her older brother did. Then not graduate, also just like her older brother.
I have had it with my skids. Granted, I no longer have to deal with or hear from my step son. He is 20 and has a 1 year old son he never sees and is unemployed and living with his mother. A loser for all intents and purposes. I mean the mother of his 1 year old he barely knew for one month before she got pregnant. Now he doesn't speak to her or see the baby.
My step daughter, is a senior in high school and i have had it up to my freakin eyeballs with her. This girl is more manipulative than her brother ever was. She is way more covert. She LOVES to push my buttons and I do try my hardest to ignore ignore ignore. But after awhile you can only take so much. That is what brought me here. I desperately need a place to vent my frustration and anger. Before I absolutely lose my mind.
I will delve into more detail about why she has gotten on my last nerve a little later. :::sigh::: I already feel a tad better.

Mine are also Seniors in High
Mine are also Seniors in High school! I try to chalk it up to being teenagers but I am really looking forward to when they leave for university! And usually are pretty good kids. 10 months to go!
You guys are so lucky - mine
You guys are so lucky - mine is in 11th grade and I should not really bitch he is with his mother full time - but the constant asking for more money is driving me crazy - I hope once he gets out from under BM his attitude changes a little - just as long as he is not expecting to live with us rent free or not work. Right now he refuses to get a job at 17 very frustrating!!
My ss19 is the baby and did
My ss19 is the baby and did finally get a job when dh told him absolutely no help from him if he didn't. He works THREE hours a week and goes to community college. When it comes up with mil and all the family around sd26 protects him and says oh sd19 can't go to school and work... He just cant.
WTF, why did the other five have jobs in hs and college but this one just can't??
OH thanks for the comments
