Paternity Test

We did it and sent it in on Saturday. I swear I'm going to go insane waiting for the results.
SD was well behaved Saturday. It was the first time we'd had her with BD2 since the kicking incident back in August. Total transformation... she was polite, talkative, loving... everything a 3 year old should be (except potty trained.... not getting into that though). It was especially cute when she stood on our front porch and started telling us that our house was her castle and Mommom (me) was the queen and Daddy was the king so he has to do what the queen says. }:) She then declared herself and BD2 princesses of the castle and grabbed the sparkle batons and sat on the porch chairs with BD2. Very cute.

You know, even if she isn't DH's, I wouldn't mind having her come over once in a while. I think I would like her a lot more if I wasn't her stepmother. Is that just insane?

Oh my...I would be so nervous. How long does it take to get back?

We should know sometime this week.

We are going to disestablish... I'm just saying I wouldn't mind seeing her when she's with her uncle (DH's best friend) or for the occasional play date.

Nervous and stressed doesn't even begin to cover it. DH and I are both on edge about this and that's causing us to be snippy... never a good thing. I'll be happy when these results are in and this is done.

I hope for you that she isn't your DH's child since he is on board with making a split once it's confirmed.

Too many men who have kids that aren't really theirs feel too guilty to say, "Hey, this isn't even my child. I'm not pretending to be dad anymore"

Life is much easier when the split is made young.
