Things have been relatively quiet here since I read SS that letter. He has talked to me some, but about nothing of importance really. Fine by me.

This week has been super irritating though. When he's going to go do something with a friend, he tells his dad, who tells me. Then yesterday, he went swimming with friends. I was on the phone with DH when SS18 texted his dad saying he and his friends were going out for pizza after swimming, and what time did he need to be home?

Ummm, pretty sure your dad is on the road, 2 states away, I'm the one at home, why would you text him to ask when to be home??? DH doesn't know what is going on at home, doesn't know the plan for the night or any night during the week. I went off, saying this little game was BS. SS should be texting me, since I'm the adult at home. DH says SS doesn't see me as a parent. I could care less if he sees me as a parent, I don't need to be his parent, but I am the F'in adult home.

DH asks what time to tell SS18 to be home. I say preferably 11, 12 at the latest, for many reason. 1) SS18 has to work tomorrow, 2) We just got a new puppy and are crate training. I plan on going to bed around 11/11:30 and puppy will be woke up if SS comes home after everyone else is in bed and puppy will cry and wake EVERYONE up.

DH tells SS "not too late, since you have to work tomorrow". Grrr, why do I even try anymore?

In better news, puppy is a 9 week old male Siberian husky, dark black with 2 blue eyes. Gorgeous little boy, but complete mischief! It's a good thing he's cute and I can laugh at his crazy antics.
